Avon, Indiana Speed Traps

Avon police park in the area where trucks tanker trucks fill from the fire hydrant.They sit on the south side of the road facing the traffic heading east on co rd 100 so. I have been fortunate so far, but many are not. This is a 11/2 mi. stretch of road and the limit is 40,then just east of this location it changes to 45 mph. A real money maker for Avon

Watch out, especially at night, when traveling down the dark section of west 10th towards 267 (if heading west) or all the way up to Raceway Rd. (if heading east). The Sheriffs drive down this road all of the time and will get you with moving radar before you even realize that it is a cop car coming towards you. Also I have observed them sitting in the entrances of some of the new housing additions being built along the road. I live in the area and use this road often, and I have been pulled over twice on this section of road in that last year or so. Be Careful!
