Griffith, Indiana Speed Traps

As you come SB over the bridge by I-80/94 Griffith will sit tucked into a divide in the wall on the right shoulder on the downhill side under the I-80/94 underpass.

Cops will hang out in the high school parking lot and nail you for speeding and/or rolling through the stop sign. They are seen there after dark usually.

The cop will sit in the driveway of the fire station at this intersection at random times, afternoon and night and catch speeders where the speed limit drops from 35 to 25 with no warning ahead.

Cop will sit in the driveway to Niko’s steakhouse by the RR tracks just far enough behind the building that northbound drivers will not see him before it’s too late. He’ll get you for speeding or not slowing down enough at the tracks. Often seen in an unmarked black or gray Impala

They hide in a trucking company parking lot. It is a 30mph zone. They work both east and west bound. Times are all over, never the same time.
