speed trap still in effect, but speed limit has been raised to 45 m.p.h. not as many tickets being written, which makes them mad. planning on voting the entire city councel out next election, which will enable us to get rid of our unwanted guests!

Speed drops very rapidly coming into town-no real chance to slow to speed without jamming on brakes.Officer sits in lot just past sign and clocks vehicles.I came in behind two vehicles with Kansas plates who were going as fast as I was and they weren’t bothered.I had New York Plates.

This has been posted on this site repeatedly as a speed trap. The speed limit in this 300-population town goes rapidly from 65 mph speed zone to 30 mph zone. The fine with costs was over $165 for a little over 20 miles over 30 mph speed limit (!!). I suggest people notify the Kansas Department of Transportation if trapped as other cities are not allowed to lower speeds this much.

Intersection of Highway 54 and Main St. City cops in either white Ford Victoria or Black SUV with K-9 markings. Operate 24/7. Have visual and radar site of both East and West city limits from single vantage point. Speed drops from 65 to posted 30 MPH in very short distance. Must brake to get legal. Citizen Speed Trap warning signs posted on private property at both edges of town. Small town of less than 400 residents cannot support a six-person, two vehicle, one drug dog operation from current tax base, thus the highway robbery.
