On Jackson street next to Taco John’s

Paducah, KentuckyJul 11, 20140 Comments

local police have targeted this area because once you turn off Lone Oak road that is 45mph it becomes 35 and the Police like to sit on the other side of the railroad underpass and catch traffic not paying attention going downhill and shoot their radar under the bridge

Alben Barkley between Audubon and Minerva PL

Paducah, KentuckyFeb 05, 20110 Comments

Paducah PD officer sits in median facing oncoming west bound traffic on Alben Barkley Dr. You cannot see him until you top the hill and round slight curve to right, speed limit is 35, if you are speeding, he’s got you. Also, east bound traffic has to watch same spot, because the speed limit drops from 45 to 35 a block from where the officer is set up.

Tapp’s Auto Sales (Southside Paducah)

Paducah, KentuckyDec 17, 20100 Comments

P.P.D. sits in the parking lot of TAPP’S AUTO SALES right at dark and sometimes later like they are a car for sale. You will see them if you are coming from Surplus City as you are rounding the corner facing TAPP’S AUTO SALES. By the way did I mention that TAPP’S AUTO SALES allows cops to use their lot for a speed trap?

The trap is located behind southside outboard. About two block past the post office. This a 35MPH zone. The cop sits in a parking lot during the day.

Pecan Drive between Paducah Bank Branch and Buckner Lane

Paducah, KentuckyMar 02, 20101 Comments

Heading east on Pecan Drive from the Paducah Bank Branch until you turn left on Buckner Lane, which takes you under the I-24 overpass, has a speed limit of 35. The residents of this area were promised the speed limit would be enforced because none of the residents wanted this street put there. I frequently travel that way to and from work to avoid heavier rush hour mall traffic. I’ve seen cars being ticketed often along that stretch both morning and evening.
