Hwy 27 – entering Stanford going North

Stanford, KentuckyMar 29, 20102 Comments

As you are going over the hill to the stop light entering Stanford the speed limit goes from 55mph to 45 mph to 35 mph in about .25 miles. Police sit at the KY Farm Bureau building and clock you as you come over the hill. If not careful you will still be going 50 plus as you slow down to come through the lights.

US 27 North bound to Lancaster

Stanford, KentuckyMay 25, 20030 Comments

I was pulled over and got a warning for 76 in a 55 zone. I do consider myself lucky on this one. It was a Ky State Trooper driving an Unmarked White Chevy Camaro with the lights in the front Grill. I was driving an 02′ Honda Interceptor RED RED RED. My wife was with me and I said Yes Sir several times to the officer and thats the only thing I think that got me out of it with just a warning. I was not traveling at an Un-safe speed…Just cruising home after visiting some family with very little traffic on the road. Needless to say I went out and purchased a new Escort 8500 detector soon after getting stopped.

The Trooper was moving and patrolling the area between stanford and Lancaster, Ky on US 27
