Gonzales, Louisiana Speed Traps

On the west side of Purpera, motorcycle’s normally set up in a vacant lot located before the small canal.

This speed trap is in a school zone, so lower speeds are necessary. There is always a crossing guard present. Often times you won’t see the cop parked back off of the road in a parking lot.

Gonzales PD randomly check this section of road. It is a wonder I have not been handed my ___. I drive this section of road 7 days a week. I would not call it a major area of concern but caution should be given. They usually sit with the front of the car facing the traffic they are shooting or sometimes next to a building and get you as you pass. I rarely see them when school is not is session.
