The trap is operated by the Jefferson Parish Sheriffs Office. Plus, people picking up children at the private school park on the rightaway, causing extreme congestion, in both directions.

East and west bound between Cleary and Orleans Parish line. Fast moving traffic averages 65-75 mph with posted limit of 50 mph. State troopers simply stake out a wide shoulder and pick off speeders on a random basis. They are on the scene 3-4-5 times a month.
