PD sits late nights watching southbound traffic decending slight hill from light at Bradley & Wisconsin. Trap is just before traffic light at Dorset. Posted speed is 35mph, but the 10 block straight-a-way invites lead feet. PD use tripod-mounted laser and have several chase cars ready for those who would try to make the D.C. line, ca. 3/4 mile away.

sometimes giant PD trap on northbound Rockville Pike (Wisconsin Ave)at foot of hill, just before Cedar Lane. PD chase cars sit in driveway of Navy Med or Stone Ridge girl’s school while laser car sits in median, shooting traffic decending steep hill coming out of Bethesda. Traffic rarely moves at just the 35mph posted speed. Nailed cars are ushered out of view, either onto Cedar or up other side of hill on the Pike – either way, they’re out of view.
