Beverly, Massachusetts Speed Traps

Officer uses handheld radar so there is no cruiser visible. Speed limit is 20 and 25 on this road.

Cruiser parks off to the left or right on the side road and usually stops cars coming from Brimbal Ave. towards the Hospital. Sometimes will sit down by Brimbal Ave. and do radar of cars coming down the hill. The speed limit is 25 MPH in this area.

Officer will sit in boat yard at the bottom of the bridge in Beverly and stop cars traveling in the breakdown lane and taking a right onto Water St. Apparently, "it’s a breakdown lane not a turning lane". $100 fine

The Officer will sit after the corner on side of the road. He has front and rear facing radar. Sometimes he’ll park the cruiser in the soccer field parking lot and use a handheld radar so you never even see the officer til it’s too late. The speed limit is 20mph.

30 mph on this road. Sometimes 2 cruisers park in the morning at Dane St. Beach. Other times there is an officer at various points all over the street. Sometimes standing on the side of the road with a handheld radar and other times in the cruiser with mounted radar front & rear.
