Braintree, Massachusetts Speed Traps

Traveling on Center Street from Holbrook to Braintree the speed limit is 35 mph. Once over the Braintree line the street name changes to South Street and the speed limit goes down to 30 mph – note the sign just over the Braintree town line. The Braintree police are waiting to welcome you about halfway up the hill on the right. They park in an abandoned service road behind the old Norfolk County Hospital. Liberty Street in Braintree heading towards Holbrook has a 30 mph speed limit, very few people follow it. The police officer is parked around the corner on Wildwood Ave. where he can’t be seen. Wildwood Ave. is a sharp right turn off of Liberty Street, right before the street goes uphill.

Driving down Commercial St. to the Stop Sign. If you do not make a complete Stop, the cop is waiting for you on the right-side of Magnolia St.
