Hanson, Massachusetts Speed Traps
Unit sits on north side of W Washington Street, in a dirt drive. Radar detection received signal as far away as blueberry farm stand (while heading west) which is just before trap and on same side of road. Greater amount of enforcement has been done on Saturday mornings (8 AM to 4 PM shift).
Good hunting grounds (mornings only though) for them. They take an obscene joy in nailing people that are trying to catch the train for work. But, be especially cautious in the early evenings. There is NO enforcement at all, the commuter rail station turns into the "Hanson 500" with all the cars screaming to get out of the parking lot and there are pedestrians dodging speeding cars all over the entrance to the lot.
The Brockton Enterprise prints the police logs from towns in their readership area. Every day, Hanson lists 20-25 "motor vehicle safety checks completed". They are not checks–they are pulling people over for speeding.
Officer sits in various driveways between Forest Trail & Damien’s Pub. Posted speed of this road is 35 m.p.h.
Police hide anywhere along this strip. Sometimes park along the side of the road and are visible but most times they hide in driveways among or behind parked cars.
