The speed limit on Sharps lot road is 40 mph
near the missile loop it abruptly drops to 25 due to
some turns in the road. Those turns can easily be
navigated at 40 mph in a modern car. You will be trapped.
State Route 103 near Lee’s River Ave Avenue
Headed westbound on Route 103 coming from Lee’s River Avenue (exit 4 off of I-195). After going up the hill through the yellow flashing light, you’ll encounter a subsequent downhill. At the bottom of the hill there is usually law enforcement waiting for speeders at the Swansea Ambulance Corps (on the right, across the street from Dunkin Donuts). One could say it’s a natural habitat for cruisers. 🙂
State Route 118 near Swansea Mall
If you are just leaving the Swansea Mall and traveling toward Rehoboth (away from Route 6, Friendly’s, Firestone), the speed limit is 50mph, then drops all the way to 25mph for a very short time to accomodate MINIMAL traffic coming from a side road, then back to 40mph after it. Naturally, most traffic simply slows down to 40mph. There is a FirstFed bank, a driveway to a business, and an unoccupied restaurant building nearby that police hide in.

When Rounding the first corner after Maple St. There is a new complex before Bettencourt and the cop’s car is hidden behind a huge stone wall.

At Bettencourt Lane, there is always a cop sitting at the Corner of Bettencourt Lane and Old Warren Road. He sits there with his radar and looks at everyone going by. Speed limit changes from 40MPH to 35MPH in that area.
