Ware, Massachusetts Speed Traps
Across from Citgo, In Front of Car Wash…
Now more than ever, state police are strictly enforcing the 25 MPH speed zone across from the Citgo and in front of the car wash. Pretty easy trap to see, just have to make sure you are going the proper speed when you pass.
Rte. 32 at the abandoned milk plant
Going South, after passing Anderson Rd. about a quarter of a mile, you can usually see them parked there on the left side of the road in the yard of the abandoned milk plant. Going North, after passing Longview Ave. about a quarter of a mile, you won’t see them on the right side, because of the tree cover, and then you will be directly in front of them.
Mass State Police sit there from time to time on a daily basis.
Whiskey Hill road from West Warren
Travelling from West Warren to Ware, this road is a long and winding downhill run. It’s very easy to exceed the speed limit. There are a couple of places where they sit on the shoulder and you don’t see them until you’re on top of them.
Rte. 9/32 at the Railroad Underpass
The police often set up on Mechanic St. (the road the old Ware Lumber was located on). The speed limit under the underpass is 20MPH and they enforce that speed limit strictly.
State Route 9 near Gould Road
Town cruiser sits in housing development driveway, at end of Gould St or Eagle St. Can not see the cruiser until it is too late. They can grab you going east or west. Speed limit is 35 with climbing lane going west. Going east, you go from posted 45 to 35 and they sit really close to that switch over, so be very careful. They ticket heavily through here.
