On Long Lake Rd. just West of Woodward the cops like to sit off the road and look for speeders. The speed limit is a low 35 mph and is easy to exceed. Just after Lahser it goes up to 45mph.
Square Lake Road near Interstate I 75 & Adams Rd

Square Lake Road near Woodward Avenue
Square Lake Rd has 4 lanes and 2 traffic lights for 3 miles. The speed limit is 50 but since it is so open the road feels like an expressway and everyone speeds. Cops know this and they are always hiding along the side streets waiting for people to speed, and that doesnt take long! I always see people being pulled over along Square Lake Rd, especially by Woodward Ave.
BL I-75 South Loop near Opdyke Road
Eastbound on Square Lake (BLI-75 S.) road after Woodward. Police sit at Opdyke road exit of the buisness loop. Speed limit is wrongly posted as 50 mph and is 70 mph by state law. A traffic Control Order is required to be on file by state law to post speed limits on Freeways.The 50 mph speed limit Traffic Control Order terminates at the Grand Trunk Railroad right of way centerline, 3/4 mile prior to opdyke exit.
