Bloomfield, Michigan Speed Traps

Watch out for police hidden along Franklin Road, between Long Lake and Telegraph, whether coming from the north or the south.

I often see radar cars on the side of the road near the bridge where the speed limit drops to 50 mph from the 65 mph of the freeway exit ramps

There is a Oakland County sheriff that likes to park in the Mobile gas station at Square Lk and Woodward. He watches southbound and westbound traffic as well as most traffic that goes through that intersection. He parks farther away from the street so that it’s out of your peripheral vision.

Traveling on Quarton between Franklin and Telegraph, there are two schools. The officer sits on the corners of a couple of cul de sacs looking for folks who don’t slow down to 25 for the school hours. The usual speed on this road is 40. He is there nearly every morning – not so often in the afternoon.

The officer sits on the west side of north bound telegraph between lone pine and long lake on the shoulder right as you are going around the turn. Also sits on the west side of southbound telegraph closer to lone pine later at night.
