Holly, Michigan Speed Traps
Grange Hall Road before Holly Shores
Cops sit in a wooded turnaround just before the railroad tracks where the speed limit drops from 55mph to 45mph. I was pulled over coming home from a friend’s house at 3am by the fat female officer who patrols at night. There is always a cop parked there after dark.
Broad turning into Milford Road
As you exit town on Broad Street which turns into Milford Road heading South towards South Holly/South Fenton Road you naturally accelerate, but the speed limit stays at the low intown rate of 25 mph long enough for Police cars to wait for those not carefully watching their speed.
Academy/Oakland
They sit at the railroad crossing on Academy facing West.
E. Holly Rd, just west of I-75.
Holly, Oakland County and Michigan State Police all park their patrol cars facing east at or near ("the second") Tucker Rd. and catch drivers coming down the hill and around the curve going over the posted 50 mph. 50 mph doesn’t make sense on that stretch of road and going downhill speeds up the cars, so they set up this speed trap at various times of the day at least once a week.
Grange Hall rd. & Holly Shores dr.
Police sit in the old rehab driveway which is heavily wooded. They clock everyone coming into town doing 55 in a 45mph..
