Sheriff sits far back in the old Toyota car lot on the west side of Plainfield, and on the south side of bldg. Seems to be clocking traffic heading south, I’ve seen him around 7:15 am and again about 2:30 afternoons.
Grand Rapids Fire Station Next To Kingmas
Heading south on Plainfield Grand Rapids P.D. sits in Fire Station parking lot clocking vehicles heading towards down town Grand Rapids. Small hill obstructs your vision of the fire station and as you break over the hill it is too late.
Jupter Corredor Bypass near Plainfield Avenue
The Jupiter Corredor connects Plainfield Avenue, with Belmont by crossing the Grand River. The Speed Trap is set up on the east side of the Grand River,using motorcycle deputies. Speed posted is too low for the conditions
Jupiter Avenue near Coit Street
Jupiter is four lanes wide, with a steep hill and a 45MPH speed limit, which is very easy to exceed going downhill.
The sheriff’s car that pulled me over clocked me at 66MPH, which I didn’t even realize I was going. I told him I wasn’t paying attention, as I should have been and he let me go with a warning.
4 Mile Road near Plainfield Avenue
There is a Kent County Sherrif’s cruiser almost always at a parking lot on 4 Mile road (Between Bud & Stanleys and the Chic University of Cosmetology). I got a ticket on a Sunday morning. I have seen them there very often. They stop mainly west bound trafic.
