Redford Township, Michigan Speed Traps
I-96 service drive East & West between Telegraph & Beech
Officers use radar from a parking spot on a side street, facing the service drive. I’ve seen as many as 20 cars stopped in 2 hours. The usual practice is to ticket for ‘impeding’,and have you pay the fine, with no points.
Telegraph Rd, north and southbound between Plymouth & 5 Mile
It doesn’t matter if it is day or night, radar and chase cars sit in the median where they cannot be seen by northbound or southbound drivers passing under the railroad bridge between I-96 and Plymouth Rd. They also sit at the side street of northbound Telegraph, between the railroad bridge and the I-96 overpass. And yes, I was caught once and the ticket was pricey!
7 mile and Inkster
Construction going on 7 mile between Inkster and Beech daily……I see cops everyday pulling people over for speeding….they sit back in the side streets….don’t speed …Redford Township loves to ticket speeders.
North and South bound Telegraph at Glendale
Extensive use of radar and visual, Police monitor North and Southbound from the Northbound side of Telegraph, from a sidestreet next to a old baseball field. Police work two or three cars and a parked spotter car and radio communications to pull over cars. This is a deadly speed trap, I have seen vehicles pulled over that were not even close to being over the limit, this is a cash cow for the Redford Police.
