Saint Clair Shores, Michigan Speed Traps

On occasion a police car sits in the driveway of the cemetary about 1/4 mile east of Gratiot Avenue covered by landscaping.

They sit in Kyte Monroe parking lot. Various locations. They are there morning and evening.

When traveling south on Harper, the speed limit drops from 40 mph to 35 mph after you cross 14 Mile Road. There are cops that sit in the church parking lot and at Kyte (the recreation place). They are usually pretty lenient (I’ve seen them not pull over cars going 40 mph) but they are often there so watch out. Drops in the speed limit are usually speed traps so be careful!

A cop is pretty much always sitting at the church just north of Masonic (about 1/4 mile). The speed limit there is 35 mph, this is no problem for northbound traffic who’s speed limit is 35 mph. However, southbound traffic goes from 40mph to 35 mph right there and they cops capitolize on it, and they don’t cut anybody any slack, BE CAREFUL!
