Southgate, Michigan Speed Traps

Not sure where the police sit, but they will ticket you if you don’t stop the absolute second that the left turn light becomes YELLOW. You get a ticket for “Disobey Amber Light.”

Southgate will sit in the parking lot at the Guidence center and if you go over the Yellow line to make your left turn and cars are backed up so you get in the turning lane early BUSTED!!!!!!!!!!

Cop will sit on Wesley observing the intersection at Fordline and nab anyone who runs the stop sign on Fordline Road (either Northbound or Southbound). If you do a California stop (rolling stop) they will GET you!

The police like to “hide” in the entranceway to an apartment complex with a split driveway, on Dix, just north of the Grecian Center, on the east side. They
also hide in or near the Grecian Center driveway. Southgate’s tough on speeders. Watch it.
