Sturgis, Michigan Speed Traps
Police sit at the bottom of a hill on Klinger Lake Rd just south of the intersection with Crooked Creek Rd. The speed limit drops 20 mph to 25 mph as you drive down this road. Police sit in a private parking lot on the east side of the road, at the bottom of the hill. The hill is steep enough that you must ride your brakes in order to maintain the 25 mph speed limit. Where they sit is partially hidden by trees and bushes plus a spot is plowed in the winter for the winter traffic.
East Fawn River Road. Police sit in the parking lot of Fawn RIver Township Hall facing East. If heading East, 35mph speed limit starts at Carls Rd.
The police sit there in that parking lot. The speed limit is 35 from the light at Centerville rd and US 12 all the way till you get past the Eagles. Many people are doing 45 miles and hour by the time they get there.
Cops tuck in old driveway to Kirsch Company facing southbound traffic on Centreville Road. This way they can monitor those coming on Centreville Road as well as oncoming from the east on Newman. Tricky.
Near the tennis courts and also a little beyond….the cops set up facing oncoming southbound traffic. It is very easy to speed up there as you are heading into country but the speed limit stays at 25 mph until you hit Fawn River Road. I know many that have been stopped.
