Taylor, Michigan Speed Traps

Sits on Breast Rd. just east of Beech-Daly.

Police normally sit on the south side of Ecorse Rd. in the parking lot of a furniture store and monitor the southbound traffic on Telegraph. They also monitor northbound traffic on Telegraph between Ecorse and I-94. Fines are high in taylor.

I don’t know where the many previous entries on this speed trap went to, but this is the biggest one in Taylor and probably the entire downriver area. The cop sits in the Gardner White Furniture driveway on the west side of Telegraph south of Ecorse Rd. and monitors southbound Telegraph traffic coming down a steep grade going beneath an overpass. Sometimes they work in tag team fashion. One chases and writes and the other takes his place. Basically the only ones who get nailed here are non-locals. Everyone else knows he’s there.

The Taylor Police officer sits to the right of the connector, just past the Racho Rd Overpass, tucked behind the barrier. You usually don’t see him until its too late. He will have you pulled over before you hit Value City. I see him at least 2-3 times a week before 6:30am
