Traverse City, Michigan Speed Traps

City Police sit occasionally at anytime of day off of the alley on or near 17th and 16th street clocking folks on Cass. Speed limit is 25mph.

The officer sits on the East side of Garfield Rd across from the Cherrywood Pharmacy Entrance. They are clocking with Radar and Lidar as soon as you break the crest of the hill heading north. 12pm noon especially!

Alley between City Centre Plaza Building and Covell Funeral Home. Office sits in alley around 5pm every day.

Officers very often position themselves 3 and 4 cars at once in wait, Weekends are especially high. This is posted at 25 MPH, very low for the area.

it is a 5 lane road (traffic 2 lanes in both directions with a left turn lane) 45 mph zone. Always police both parked in the side area business and driving by two’s on the road.
