Adams, Minnesota Speed Traps

Adams policeman parks on south side of road waiting for cars to accelerate as they head west, leaving the Adams City limit. Just before a car passes by the 55 mph sign, he makes the stop and informs you that you are speeding and that you are violating the 30mph speed limit, stating that you must maintain 30mph until you have passed by the 55mph sign.

when driving west through Adams on hwy 56, signs with 30 mph are posted. Just as you are leaving Adams, there is a 55 mph sign posted directly ahead. The police officer parks on hwy 56 facing east. If you start to accelerate before your vehicle passes by the 55 mph sign, you are charged with exceeding the 30 mile per hour limit. In other words to avoid being ticketed you have to maintain 30 mph until you are past the 55 mph sign.

Entering Adams from the west the 30 MPH zone begins at the nursing home west of town. The police park by the church and nab you as you enter the town.
