when driving west through Adams on hwy 56, signs with 30 mph are posted. Just as you are leaving Adams, there is a 55 mph sign posted directly ahead. The police officer parks on hwy 56 facing east. If you start to accelerate before your vehicle passes by the 55 mph sign, you are charged with exceeding the 30 mile per hour limit. In other words to avoid being ticketed you have to maintain 30 mph until you are past the 55 mph sign.
