Blaine, Minnesota Speed Traps
109th Avenue near State Highway 65 Central Avenue
It’s not truly a speed trap, however, between University Avenue and Highway 65, AKA Central Avenue, it does not matter what time of day it is, you will always see at least one cop driving up or down 109th Avenue. It is the same road that BeBop’s Cafe and now the Venue Night Club are located on. If you are headed west, the road drops to one lane and drops from 45 mph to 35 mph. THEY WILL NAIL YOU on this one. If you are going east and are going faster than 35 before it turns to 45, they aren’t any less leniant there either. I’ve been busted twice going that way. Finally learned my lesson!
117th Avenue near Terrace Road
There is almost always a parked cop car sitting on Terrace waiting to either pull you over for the strictly enforced 30 mph speed zone and/or to give you a ticket for rolling through the stop sign the same intersection
Lexington Avenue
Cops are always sitting on the right side of the road in lochness park if you’re heading north. I’ve been pulled over twice but got off both times.
Highway 10 before/after Hwy 65 exit/on ramps – usually sitting under the overpass.
They like to hide under the "over-pass" bridge on the concrete hill.
They also like hiding under the over-pass in the median between lanes.
