Kirkwood, Missouri Speed Traps
I-44 between Big Bend Exit (278) and Webster Groves limits
Kirkwood PD run a lot of radar on this stretch of Interstate 44, especially around the end and beginning of the month. I have spotted them on both sides of the highway multiple times. They sit on the right shoulder and use their rear radar, license plate readers are used as well. Vehicle is often a White or Greyish Tahoe but I have seen a Taurus as well. Favorite times are between 10 and 3
Geyer Rd. School zone from Essex to Dougherty Ferry.
Geyer Rd. from Essex to Dougherty Ferry, any time Keysor school is in session.Especially in the A.M. speed is
20 m.p.h. thru there. And I would like to ad that they need to enforce it more than they do !
North Kirkwood Road before Manchester
There’s usually a cop lingering around in the Chris Auffenberg parking lot when you’re heading north on Kirkwood before the Manchester light. I primarily see him on weekend nights. Keep it around 30 mph in this area.
Adams Avenue near Geyer Road
Kirkwood sets up radar traps throughout the stretch of Adams between Geyer Road westbound to Dougherty Ferry Rd. The road is very curvy with a 30 mph limit and you won’t see the car until you’re right on top of them.
State Highway 44
Officers of Kirkwood use laser to patrol the area around Berry road on 44. The west-bound is usually safer because there is no on ramp from Berry Rd. but east-bound traffic is heavily patrolled.
