Osage Beach, Missouri Speed Traps
All up and down US Hwy 54 (goes through OB)
Speed limit is 65 mph through the entire city until 1500 feet west of Hwy KK, where it drops to 60. I work the Hwy as much as possible and generally do not stop someone until they are 14 over (that’s 79!!!!). Lots of signs, JUST PAY ATTENTION!!! That is what cruise control is for so you do not look at the lake and start daydreaming.

Police sit at the end of the city limits by the last curve on the road. Speed limit is 30 but road slopes down and if you are not careful you are nailed doing 5 over the limit. The normally there on any given weekend

OB police will sit in a driveway just off KK. You cannot see them til you are almost past them. This is a notorious speed trap, particularly between Memorial Day and Labor Day ("The Season"). "Welcome to Osage Beach! Come on VACATION, Leave on PROBATION!"
On Busines 54 thru Lake Ozark city limits (25MPH)
Patrol cars are always patroling that strip (25MPH), the school zone is 15MPH, the flashing lite is almost 60 feet from the road, easily missed.

The city police are constantly sitting at this intersection. It is notorious for red light runners, which is the reason they sit at this light. They park at the abandoned convenience store on the opposite side of Hwy 42.
