Saint Charles, Missouri Speed Traps

I drive this stretch of highway regularly and have often seen a parked police car or someone being ticketed. Most common seems to be nights and weekends.

The police sit at the entrance to the fire station or on Lawrence where they
can clock anyone coming from the direction of the High School. Usually during
the 0900-1200 noon times of the day. They disappear around noon and the
place gets very heavy with speeders…guess it’s a well known speed trap (speed
limit is 25 – everyone thinks it’s 35)

As you go down Sherman Drive Eastbound there is a St. Charles police officer that sits right as you go down the hill in the condos. Sits there quite reqularly and the speed limit is 25 so as you come down the hill you are going faster than that.. Have seen several people pulled over.

As you head westbound on 370 from St. Louis County, there is an overpass just pass N. 3rd Street, after Fast Lane Classic Cars. In the nice weather, St. Charles City will have a motorcycle officer sit inside the inner lanes near the median and behind one of the overpasses support beams so you cant see him or the bike. He hits you with radar and then a you pass lights you up. Can’t see him untill last minute.
