Interstate 44 eastbound at the 240 mile marker, an Airplane with chase cars at the 242 exit (Hwy AH).
An airplane definitely works this set of blocks at the 240 Eastbound, once in a while it’s the helicopter. You can listen to 95MP on the scanner at 42.020 or sometimes 42.000. I have seen as many as 7 SHP chase cars on the 242 overpass. They also shoot Laser from there as well as regular radar, both with and without chase cars. And yes, the Franklin County “DEA” uses the 242 exit for their infamous “Drug Check Ahead”. Just take that exit when those signs are up on the interstate and you WILL be searched.

This exit is just east of St.Clair MO. On I44, It is also a DUI check point.

I noticed this less than a year ago. I live in St. Clair and was leaving for work and noticed brand new white marks and looked up and saw a plane. Sure enough up ahead were some people already pulled by the MHP and another was waiting for the next victim. After you pass the St. Clair exit where Mc Donald’s is you will see the marks and you can also see the nice little airport they take off from. Think of the money they save on fuel for the plane!
