Lincoln, Nebraska Speed Traps

When traveling north on 56th the speed limit drops to 35 just before a hill. On the top of the hill is the Library, the officer parks just behind the library at the top of the hill.

You are going down a hill heading west at 35 and enter a school zone. You have to brake to bring speed down to 25. This trap is done by large numbers of police waiting off the side streets at 23rd to pull over motorists checked by cop sitting in chair at roadside. Beginning and end of school year are most frequent times.

Cotner & M st also just after O on S. 56th in alley. Normal in early afternoon and late afternoon.

An officer stands on Capitol Parkway West just before 9th street.Just as you come to the end of the viaduct the officer radars you and pulls you over. The trap is usaully in the morning and mid-day

will hide around the corner.Officer stands out of cruiser so just head and radar gun is visible above a small hill.At the bottom of the hill from 27th street even coasting you will exceed the speed limit by the time you reach the trap. just keep a eye out as you pull away from the 27th street light as you can just barely make out a officers head and gun above the small hill.
