Edison, New Jersey Speed Traps

This is the section of King George Road when you exit Fords and just enter into Edison going towards Raritan Center(just past the Dunkin Donuts facing New Brunswick Ave) Watch out at the end of the month. The cops are VERY opportunistic at this time, and hide in the lots of a day care center and other small businesses. This road winds a bit and certain parts are marked 20mph. Police are hoping you miss that speed posting at month end and come in for the kill. Be careful!

Predominantly commercial area heavily enforced at 25 MPH.

North Bound Route #1, Edison Police Cars park between cars at Open Road Honda Dealership or next door between Trucks at UHaul Dealership. They can be spotted as they leave they’re parking lights on.

Get this, lately Norfolk Southern Railroad Police are setting up speedtraps right by the Railroad Crossing on Inman Avenue by the Inman Grove Shopping Center. They will sit on the downward side of the road, so when you fly over the tracks, they nail you. I don’t know if they have something worked out with Edison Police, but NS Railroad Police are patrolling HEAVILY in the Edison/Clark area. That speedtrap is the only one I know of so far (learned the hard way.)
