Englishtown, New Jersey Speed Traps

Drive very slow in Englishtown. Speed limit is 25mph..the town is only like a mile big, however, they hide everywhere and they WILL give you a ticket. watch out on the road that goes to Manalapan Rec Center..speed limit drops from about 40 to 25 very quickly..they sit in the parking lot directly straight across from that light…be careful!

Englishtown is a well known speed trap in NJ as well as web sites. The borough makes a lot of money handing out tickets on this heavily travelled road. There is flea market and raceway (Raceway Park) traffic with a 25 mph posted limit. Be careful especially weekends after 12am. The local police blotters are filled with DUIs from close neighbor Manalapan but Englishtown does not list their summons’ through the local paper But it’s a known fact. Don’t even think of having a few brews and coming home through Englishtown!
