Manalapan, New Jersey Speed Traps
They wait on Gettysburg Drive for cars turning off Union Hill Road. The Speed limit is 25. Turning off the main road and you are going downhill. You need to make a conscious decision to slow down or you will get a ticket.
Police sit in wooded areas and entrances to Meadow Creek, Four Seasons, Heritage Village and back entrance to Knob Hill. Speed limit was LOWERED to 35mph on a rural road with scattered private homes along the route. They will ticket you for 3 miles over the limit. They await their prey as early as 6:00AM to nab the hard-working residents of these communities. This is purely a fund-raiser and resented by most of the community. If the original intent was to slow down the huge trucks passing through, why target the residents?
How do you teach children to respect and revere these PUBLIC SERVANTS???
Police vehicle hides behind the large bush on the westbound side of the road.
This road is 25MPH and is a targeted area in Manalapan. They will stop you for as low as 30 MPH. Watch the speedometer and keep it at 25!
The section of Pease Rd between Gordon’s Corner Rd and Taylors Mills Rd has been designated a "traffic enforcement zone". The speed limit is 30 mph. I regularly see policemen standing at the side of the road with radar gun in hand while 2 patrol cars are hiding down either Sandybrook Rd or Thompson Lane. They seem to be making lots of $$$ at this speed trap…Watch out !
