New Brunswick, New Jersey Speed Traps
There is sometimes a NBPD patrol car parked on the grass near the high-tension power lines. The posted speed limit is 50, but the flow of traffic in the left lane easily hits 70-75mph, so be careful…
Five EB Police Cars waiting to pull over 10 cars at a time stating they all went over the 25 mph speed limit. The road is obviously too busy to go that slow! It’s designed to catch unsuspecting drivers doing 30-35 appropriately! BTW… it’s always done the last few days of the month. Definitely a speed trap!
Hide behide bar when close on monday after hr.
SUNDAY – Officer of the N.B.P.D. loves to pull people over on this stretch of Easton, particularly on Sundays. It is a 25 mph zone, but if you are headed east into the city, you are travelling down a hill, from a 45 mph zone. Beware!
New Brunswick PD will sit between fork in road (radar on), where George Street bends right (College Ave) and Rt 18 onramp tangents left (off George Street). NBPB is looking to catch people who accelerating (beyond the 25mph limit) towards the Rt 18 onramp, where the speed limit jumps to 55mph.
