Union, New Jersey Speed Traps
Walker ave., from Oakland ave to Mill road
The police sit on Walker Ave just before you go under the I78 over pass.
Colonial Ave. near Suburban Golf Course
Police sit at either end of the golf course’s border with Colonial Ave., using the curve in the road to hide their presence. The road is marked 25, but the double-yellow lines and the long stretch of no houses lend to speeding.
Route 22, in the parking lot of Work ‘n’ Gear
Cops always hang out in this parking lot to catch speeders and people driving on the shoulder to avoid traffic.
Oakland Avenue near between Vaushall and Stuyvesant Avenue
Cops are visible all the time. Uphill Rd from Stuyvesant into Oakland, if you don’t watch your speed when the st levels you will hear the siren behind you before you reach Vauxhall traffic light
Liberty Avenue near Interstate 78
Union Police officers are seen quite often on Liberty Ave btw Morris Ave and the entrance to 78. When coming from Vauxhal onto Liberty (passing the entrance to 78) there is slight turn. If you are going pass the speed limit of 25 they are going to definitely get you. At the point where the bend ends they sit there and radar in your speed. There other location is pass Audrey Terr there is a small park on the right hand side before getting to Morris. They sit on the right hand side by a gate where they cannot be seen at night. I was pulled over earlier in the day. Luckily I got off (maybe my charm). In the evening it rained and I knew they would be stationed in their area. Surely in passing by the park there they were. Becareful they have no mercy when giving tickets.
