Bottom of Eagle Rock Avenue Just before Main Street

Prior to the trap location driver is traveling down an extremely steep hill. Speed limit at trap location is 25mph because it is a School Zone. So when school is starting and yellow lights are flashing the speed limit is 25. But, when off school hours, and the yellow lights are not flashing, the speed limit is 40 mph!
Good Luck!!!

The speed limit is 30-35 mph between Pleasant Valley Way and the bottom of Northfield near 280. The speed limit between Pleasant Valley Way and Livingston is 40 mph. The police hang out at the skating ring/zoo area or dunkin donuts across the st, waiting for cars coming from the 40 mph doing 45-50 now in a 30-35 mph zone to stop them. Multiple tickets will be issued if headlight out, no ins card in veh, registration, inspection, etc…anything out of order, the police will be checking everything. Please have everything in order and drive within the limit on Northfield Ave and not too slow because there is a ticket for that too (careless driving).

Veteran cop is there almost every day hunting down the speeders heading South. He’ll also get the ones that cruise through a yellow or catch it turning red.

Interstate 280 near Exit Number 6 thru 8, both directions

The 65 mph speed limit is not unrealistic, but enforcement is heavy through the area. Particularly headed westbound, once you get over the top of the 2nd big hill, the road flattens and the temptation is there to drive faster. I frequently see police officers crouched behind bridge abutments and in the center median.
