Clayton, New Mexico Speed Traps

Speed limit going into town from either direction drops from 65 to 30 rapidly and it is 30 all the way through town on their nice new concrete 4 lane. They do not work it alot unless tourist season. If it is, do not do 31mph unless you have your detector/eyeballs working overtime.

30 MPH speed limit extends beond the town. As you leave town on wide 4 lane, divided highway radar enforces 30 mph speed limit.
