N. Canal Rd. between Cold Springs Rd. and Day Rd.
The speed limit is 35mph. Going east, you come to a small rise. Over the rise, on the north side to your left, sit state troopers just where the speed limit increases to 55mph. They will nail any car going over 40 mph.
What makes this a speed trap is that the area is so wide open, many of the houses sit far back from the road, and the canal is on the south side so going 35mph seems very sluggish.
Day Road north of High Street
Police park in the parking lot for the soccer fields just north of High Street next to the Day Road Park. Usually very early in the morning and looking for south-bound drivers. Speed limit was 55 about a year ago, now is 45 MPH.
The corner of Prospect Street and Stevens Street
the police usually wait in the Harringtons parking lot or along stevens street in various unused roads . waiting for not only speeders but also people who do not stop for stop signs. Usually at night in a black unmarked car .
Davison Rd & Park Lane Cir
From Rt 31 to golf course. Set up in golf course lot and in old refirmiry lots. Marked and unmarked cars.
Market St & Union St
They Usually Sit Right At The Park Entrance On Market Street Just Past The RailRoad Tressel. Usually Unmarked And The Tree Branches Hiding Them Going Up Market Street And Just As You Round The Curve Passing Union t. Also Hidden By Foliage! Do 30Mph No Matter What.
