Rochester, New York Speed Traps

Deputies sit in the median between the RT531 and exit 7(Gates). They can only sit there in the summer months when its dry enough out to pull a car onto the grass. I’ve only seen them at night be fairly regularly. Deputies are pretty fair and don’t seem to stop for anything less than 70mph.

Troopers in umarked purple Dodge Caravan sit on overpass parked on sidewalk shoots laser into 390 Northbound traffic. Awaiting State Troopers parked on Ridgway Ave. on-ramp for 390 Northbound are then dispatched by unmarked caravan. Must be training site for them, usually towards end of month.

State Trooper sits on the on-ramp for 390 Northbound, off of Vintage Lane. Shoots laser at Northbound traffic from top of on-ramp.

Just After Chili Ave. exit. Heading 390 Southbound. Trooper backs in behind tree on rightside before Chili Ave. expressway overpass. Cant see him until he’s behind ya pulling you over. Only way I seen him is from exiting at Chili Ave.

Driving 590 south through the can of worms, sitting about 200 yards south of the elmwood bridge sits a backed in black state trooper camaro. He is backed up on a hill the top of his car is all hidden by low hanging branches, yet we spotted the yellow reflective stripe… take care in driving there even though its a straigh stretch you cant see him, your lucky if ur head lights bounce off the reflective striping.
