Rochester, New York Speed Traps

Usually one car in the Veterans building parking lot next to the brick wall or parked just accross the street in the Autozone parking lot.

Cops park in the White Haven Memorial Cemetery parking lot, just near Golf Avenue. They have been spotted facing both ways. It is very easy to go above the 35MPH speed limit so be careful when you are approaching the cemetery!

Upon coming in from the 490 Expressway into the Village of East Rochester, the police have a tendency of parking near the laundrymat across from Debbie Supply and look for people who do not decrease their speed to 30mph as the signs are posted. Many years ago the speed was 40mph, go figure.

East Rochester police sit just north of the railroad underpass on Lincoln Road where the road widens to four lanes. Traffic has a tendency to speed up because of the downhill grade just south of the underpass. Speed limit is 30 and you have to apply brakes to keep at 30 mph.
