The cars always sit along the bushes on Colivhurst just waiting to bust you! They aren’t there as much as they used to because a white truck parks there some of the time but they are still there quite a bit, so beware! That has been a favorite spot for years for them ticket givers.

The town police camp on Colvinhurst just behind the first houses so you are screened from seeing them until you are right on top whether heading north to Sheridan Drive or south to Highland Avenue. They have lowered the speed limit to 30 but the lights are still timed for 35 so people try to stretch it to keep moving. Even though I lived on Colvinhurst for 13 years, they managed to issue the only 3 tickets I received in that timeframe from that location. Upon attending remedial driving school, (to reduce the offense to a $95 parking ticket so the Town can retain the entire fine) I discovered that fully 70% of the 35 attendees had been caught in that same trap. I’m amazed that this one wasn’t right at the top of everyone’s list in the Buffalo area.

The police hide in the power station road on Colvin southbound just before Belmont Ave. It’s very difficult to see them due to the foilage and trees.
