The Intersection of Village & Fairview Roads

Leland, North CarolinaJan 08, 20111 Comments

Lookout Leland Motorists! I am starting to see cameras on the wooden signal light poles (not the steel ones). This means the L.P.D (Leland Police Department) are looking for people running the red light. If you are an avid red light runner, I would advise you slow down and stop. I don’t know if the cameras are in effect right now. If they aren’t, they will be soon.

Just like the intersection of Village & Fairview Roads, They are installing cameras on the wooden signal light poles to catch drivers running red lights. If you run red lights constantly, I would advise you not to.

Stretch of Highway 17 between 74/76 and Lanvale Rd. This is the area of the new Wal-Mart, Magnolia Greens, and Waterford where the 12 traffic signals in a one mile stretch are. Leland PD regularly runs radar here, and may have multiple cars with at the same time if they don’t have an otherwise pressing meeting at Waffle House, or the Citgo. GPS for the stretch of highway involved is 34 13 00/-78 01 03 through 34 12 11/-78 02 47
