Berea, Ohio Speed Traps
Bagley Road near Linden Lane
On Bagley Road at the RR underpass befor Linden Lane the speed goes from 35mph to 25 mph. The road goes downhill at this point requiring a tap on the brake or you will get a ticket.
Front St between Second and Fourth Ave
Berea Police will often sit in the bowling alley parking lot or down one of the side streets on the west side of the road, running radar. Doing anything over 29 will get you stopped almost every time. Also, despite the fact that the road is nearly wide enough for two cars each way, there are not two lanes, and cops will also pull cars over for passing (there are signs posted to warn against passing, though).
the Metroparks
The cops like to sit behind/between cars in the Metroparks, during the day. this makes them very, very hard to spot from any distance. At night they usually face the bridge. This is the bridge that sits on your right after you turn down off of Pearl. The face the bridge because you can’t see them after making a sharp turn down the Parks. I see them sitting there all of the time, but haven’t seen them give out a ticket, yet!
