Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio Speed Traps
State Route 8 near POrtage Trail/Broad Blvd
"Ticket City" is what the locals call Cuyahoga Falls. Shameless and inexcusable revenue generation. At any time you could be pulled over for doing 60 in a 55, or any variation thereof. Locals don’t even know what the speed limit is! It varies between 50 and 65 along a 2 mile stretch.
Portage Trail is also awful.
State Road
State Rd., Portage Trail and all streets in the area are speed traps. Cuyahoga Falls cops are notorious for that.
I’ve been personally caught speeding on State Rd between Portage Trail and 1/2 mile down south twice. Once by a radar (the cop was staying at Burger King parking lot), once by a police car following me (that time I didn’t get cited despite going 65 in a 25, I guess because he had no proof, i.e. no radar or laser, and his speedometer was probably uncalibrated… but beware anyway!)
Rt 8 South Portage Trail Entrance Ramp
One car sits on the Portage Trail entrance ramp and several more are up ahead to pull you over. Slow down when approaching the Portage Trail Entrance Ramp on 8S.
Rt 8 North past the Front Street exit
Hides in bushes just past the Front Street exit.
Rt 8 north at Broad Blvd Exit
A group sits right at the Broad Blvd exit, they have a clear shot almost all the way down to the Howe Avenue entrance. Slow down as you are passing the Howe Avenue Exit.
