Lorain Road near Bridge over Metroparks

Fairview Park, OhioOct 23, 20070 Comments

The parking lots just west of the Metropark bridge are hiding places for the police every night 2:30am. I am glad they are looking for DUIs, but they will stop anybody for 2 mph over the 35 limit. I was coming from work and had to do a sobriety check on Lorain Rd.

Sit under the bridge between Grayton Road exit and Clague Road exit. Just on the border of Fairview Park and North Olmsted.

Brookpark Road near NASA

Fairview Park, OhioDec 13, 20050 Comments

Fairview will sit in a parking lot on the west side of the Rocky River metroparks bridge and trap as you enter in from Cleveland, just passing NASA. They have also been seen in private driveways trapping the same area. The entire section of Brookpark road that goes through Fairview is a potential trap.

If it is not snowing, the City of Fairview Park Officers are on Interstate 480 both Westbound and eastbound between Grayton and Clague roads writing tickets. They have a program named POPAS (Police On Patrol Arrest Speeders) that each Officer receives unlimited time and a half if they write 3 or more tickets per hour! A great incentive to add a seat belt or one plate ticket to the speed ticket for these Officers to receive their unlimited OT!

As soon as you exit the Ohio Turnpike going East and hit I480 going past North Ridgeville, North Olmsted, Fairview Park, etc. all of these three cities use laser HEAVILY both East and West ESPECIALLY Fairview Park. People are always pulled over for speeding. The speed limit is only 60mph and people have a tendecy to go 70mph and above. Be VERY CAREFULL!
