Lawrence Township, Ohio Speed Traps

Both the Lawrence Township Police and State Highway patrol sit at this intersection. The State Highway patrol tend to sit on the West side of Route 21 on Butterbridge road off the side of the road a few hundred feet away from Route 21. You cant really see the State Highway Patrol until you cross the intersection if you look that direction. The Lawrence Township Police tend to sit on the East side of Route 21 off the side of the road near the mini car dealership. It is 60mph on Route 21, be very careful especially at night as the Lawrence Township Police will sit there with no lights on.

The Lawrence Township Police will sit in the parking lot of the Free Will Baptist Church parking lot at the intersection of Strausser Street and McTaggart Road on the South side of Strausser Street. You cant see them heading East but can easily see them heading West. It is 40mph in that area be careful.

The Lawrence Township Police will sit behind a set of bushes on Route 21 North approximately 1/2 mile North of Marshallville Street. You can barely see their front bumper sticking out with this ambush type tactic, by that time you are a goner. It is 60mph in that area be very careful. They also will sit in the turn around on Route 21 North approximately 1 mile North of Marshallive St. It is more of a surpise coming around the bend heading South than going North you can easily see them going North bound in the turnaround. Also the State Highway Patrol patrols that area heavily but they don’t sit behind bushes.

The Lawrence Township Police will sit at the intersection of Akron Avenue and Strausser street looking for speeders and people who roll through the 4-way stop sign intersection. They also will sit off the side of the road in the Church parking lot off Strausser Street east of Akron Avenue. They sit approximately 1 mile west of this intersection off side of the road clocking speeders too. You don’t see them until the last minute after cresting the hill heading east. Be careful it is 40mph near the intersection and is 55mph west of the intersection.

The Lawrence Township Police will sit on the side of the highway on Route 21 North right after you come around the bend closing in on Butterbridge Road. It is an ideal ambush location since you dont see them until the last minute. They will sit there day/night. At night be careful they will sit on the side of the highway with no lights on and really surprise you if you are speeding! Also both North/South bound traffic on Route 21 is heavily patrolled by Lawrence Township police and the State Highway Patrol. It is 60mph speed limit be careful!
