Harvard Avenue near East 49th Street
Mostly sits behind Newburgh Hts. police station catching motorist coming of the southbound ramp of I-77 and making that quick "rolling stop" to make a right on red and a quick left into the BP gas station.Was recently changed 2 years ago into a no turn on red! They also sit at the BP station and serve moving violations and load up on coffee! Favorite stomping grounds for various other police agencies.
Interstate 77
Officers will run Lidar on the grass hills that border either side of I 77 between Harvard Ave and Fleet Ave. Sometimes they will sit two patrol cars at a time, with on sitting northbound and the other southbound on I 77.
The speed limit on the interstate is 60 mph, and officers seem to begin enforcing once cars reach 75 mph or higher.
Washington Park Boulevard near McGregor Avenue
Police car sits at centerstrip cut through and issues tickets for <10mph over the speed limit.
Interstate 77 near Grant Avenue
The trap is located 1/8 of a mile past Grant Ave. an officer is often parked on the right side of the highway. This city issued over 2,000 citations for speeding last year and were in the three for number of tickets issued in Ohio. The city of Newburgh Heights is a couple of miles from downtown Cleveland.
