North Hampton, Ohio Speed Traps
Through North Hampton on 41
Jan. 1 around midnight,(it was like 14 below 0).When I came to the 35 mph sign I had slowed to 35. I continued through town @ 35. About half way through town I saw red lights flashing in my mirror. I pulled over. The cop came over the loud speaker saying “driver stay in the car”. He came up to me and asked me if I knew how fast I was going. I told him that I thought I was going 35, no more than 37. He confirmed that I was going 35. He then said that they had 100′ that was 25 mph (I think they changed it, but I’m not sure, because I haven’t been back). Knowing that I had been had, I just told the officer, “I’ll bet you are proud of every inch of it too, aren’t ya”. Oh yea, after he came up to me the first time, I had a patrol car in the back, one in front, and 2 on my left side. With a town with only a couple of stop signs, and no businesses, how do you think they fund all of those cars and officers?
