Traveling north on N. Island, speed limit drops from 55 to 35 as you cross into N. Ridgeville.
Burns Road by the RR Tracks just East of the College
I got a ticket here a few weeks ago. The officer was parked in the driveway just west of the tracks. He was very nice (unlike most NR officers) and said that they have had complaints of speeders in this area and would be watching it for a while.
Corner of Jaycox and Drake roads
This is not a speed trap but a STOP SIGN trap. The cop is there frequently and he’s not honest. I was in the car with a friend and she STOPPED. He lied. When I said that I would protest in court, he "let us go" with a warning.
State Route 10
This is an overused speed trap in the city of North Ridgeville. The cruisers will sit and watch for anyone speeding on there 3 miles of actual highway in the city. The speed limit is 65mph, and dont go a mille an hour over that because you will get pulled over for going 70mph, and you will get a ticket for going 5mph over.

The North Ridgeville Police Department enforces the speed limit like no other. They will pull you over if you are speeding. Most of them do not have a good attitude either so just watch out. Lorain Rd., Sugar Ridge Rd., Stoney Ridge Rd., S.R. 10. S.R. 83, Mills Rd., Root Rd., just to name the most known speed traps throughout this city.
